|Immanuel Lutheran Church
Immanuel offers two weekly worship services: Saturday evening at 6:00 pm and Sunday morning at 10:00 am. We celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion at every worship service.
Holy Communion is a sacred gift from God by which we are reassured of the forgiveness of our sins and the gift of eternal life which we have through Christ. In the celebration of Holy Communion, we believe the Risen Lord is truly present in the bread and wine and offers his very self in this Sacrament. It is not to be received lightly but should be received only by those who are truly repentant of their sins and ready to be made whole by this precious gift. We celebrate open communion here at Immanuel. Children who have not yet communed or received communion instruction and all others who choose not to receive Communion are invited to come forward for a blessing. If that’s the case, simply come forward with you hands at your side.
Saturday Evening Praise Service - 6:00 pm
Are you looking for a more casual worship experience? Please join us at Immanuel for a Contemporary Praise Worship service at 6:00 pm each Saturday.
The Saturday service is held in a more casual setting and the music is presented in different ways. The hymns used are from our hymnal and other sources, especially songs written by our own Geoff Williams. You'll hear familiar hymns that are jazzed up, camp songs from your youth and contemporary Christian Songs.
We use intinction during communion at the Saturday service.
We have a beautiful nursery room available if you need private time with your child. However, children are welcome in worship. There is a "pray ground” area available with children activity packets to help occupy little ones during worship.
Adult Bible Study takes place 5:00 – 5:45 pm, preceding the worship service.
Sunday Morning Traditional Service - 10:00 am
Come worship with us on Sunday mornings! Immanuel has one Traditional Sunday Service at 10:00 am. Our senior choir sings weekly during this service from September through May.
We use bread or wafers and individual wine cups during communion at the Sunday service. If you are unable to come to the altar to receive communion, please inform one of the ushers. The pastor will bring the communion to you after all have been served.
There is Coffee Fellowship after the service in the Gathering Area.
Nursery is available, for children ages 5 and under.
During the school year we have several Sunday Church School classes for ages 3 and up, 9:00 – 9:45 am, preceding the worship service.
