|Immanuel Lutheran Church
Christian Education is the bedrock of our faith life. Studying God’s word grows our knowledge of all the amazing things God has done as well as what God expects from us. Doing that in Fellowship with others gives us perspective and insight to help us better understand scriptures application for our lives today. Immanuel offers a number of different opportunities for continuing faith formation.
Sunday mornings at 9:00 am people of all ages gather in the Fellowship Hall for traditional Sunday School. After a simple continental breakfast we split into three classes: toddlers through 5th grade, 6th-12th grades and adults. Anyone and everyone is welcome.
Saturday Bible Study
There is an ongoing Bible Study on Saturday nights at 5:15 pm in Immanuel’s Conference Room. Most of the attendees go to our Saturday Evening Service afterwards but that is not a requirement. Come when you are able!
Women’s Bible Study
On the 1st Monday of the month at 6:30 pm in the Conference Room a group of women led by Rev. Cheri Johnson gather to study scripture, pray, share concerns and joys and eat some goodies. All ladies are welcome. We are currently looking at some pretty wild and crazy women of the Bible. This is a wonderful time of learning and fellowship!
Confirmation and First Communion
Confirmation classes for 7th and 8th graders are held biweekly on Sunday afternoons at 3:30 pm. These classes are a combined effort of Immanuel, St. James and Christ Lutheran Churches and rotate locations between the 3 locations. First Communion classes are generally held before Easter for our 5th graders. Please speak with the Pastor if you have a child interested in either of these classes.
